House people -- come here!

We saw the house again. Both my realtor and my mortgage broker have told me there's already been tons of interest in this house (like I assumed - it's pretty underpriced and in a good neighborhood). If we are going to put an offer in, we have to do it tomorrow morning. Realtor and MB say to go in with a clean offer -- asking price and 3% seller assist. (Unless inspection tells us something interesting, it's a very fair price and we can do it comfortably.)

DH and I have decided to make the offer, however I'm preparing myself for losing it.  And if we get it... zomg. I'm freaking out.

Congrats Mames! That is a huge decision! I'll be heading through PA tonight so I will bring some dust with me.

Remember, if you don't get it, something else will come along. We lost the first house we bid on and got one that was an even better match.

Thanks you guys! I really need to prepare myself for losing. And if we do, back to the drawing board. We won't have really "lost" anything -- just gained some experience in the offering process I guess.

You're always invited, leigha! And in a moment of panic and excitement, I think I titled this thread awkwardly. It was more like "Anyone who cares about houses/is a homeowmer/is current househunting/or wants to be updated on MY real estate search -- come here!" But it wouldn't fit.

Well, after a longass realtor meeting, our offer is being made. We know we're at least one of three that are being presented this evening to the sellers. So I should know something by tomorrow.

We're okay though. But feel free to send some dust here and there the next couple of months.

Oh, girl, that sucks.  I am really sorry.  I guess it what happens, though.  We didn't get our first house either, and I see that happened to some of the nesties above me.  Consider that your bad starter and you will for sure get the next one you want!

Oh that sucks that you didnt get it... but like you said at least now you have some practice and understand how it all works a little better.  Likely you'll find an even better house.
