Since we have new folks again....
Lets try to liven this place up a little! We did a get to know you poll when I first got here in October or so, so I'll try to make this one a variation.

2. Do you have pets, kids, or both? Ages/names? Pug - Franklin (5yrs); 5 lovebirds. No kids yet, but we're working on it.
3. What do you do for work? What would you LIKE to do for work? I'm a special education teacher. I absolutely love my job, and don't know that I would like to work in any other field.
4. What is something unusual or unique about you? Um...I guess the fact that I've had 10 heart surgeries. Haha, that's a hard question to answer!!

My son is almost 6 weeks old, named David.

I'm a biology technician, I actually really like my job (though not enough to not take a full 12 weeks of maternity leave). If I could do anything at this point, without additional schooling, I'd be a midwife.

I don't think I'm too full of surprises, I grew up in Alaska, how is that?

I really don't spend much time there, I think we should do something in Santa Fe

No kids yet, just a puppy named Bella

I'm in my last semester of nursing school! Graduate in May
And I LOVE being a nurse. One of the most rewarding things I have ever done!

Random cool fact of the day: I am doing clinicals on the pediatric unit I was a patient on 17 years ago

I'm a Starbucks regular (hubby works there) or Flying Star... or the school library? haha

Law and Order SVU, Intervention, American Idol, and Housewives (the last two are guilty pleasures)

No kids, two dogs- Gizmo (5) and Walker (also 5) and a cat Tyson who is 11.

I'm a Development Director for a Non Profit organization- I can't imagine doing anything else unless I could stay home and write full time instead of in my spare time.

I'm left handed (that's not too weird) and I have a photographic memory (for numbers only, which didn't help much in school)

So far in ABQ, I like Flying Star for coffee, Two Fools for drinks, Farina for dinner, and most of the places in Nob Hill

1. What is your favorite televison show? I don't watch too much TV. I like anything on HGTV
2. Do you have pets, kids, or both? Ages/names? We have a Shih-tzu/Poodle Mix named Yoji.
3. What do you do for work? What would you LIKE to do for work?
I am a NICU nurse. I absolutely love it. I take care of the smallest and sickest patients. Its rewarding to help them grow and meet milestones, to work with parents and get them involved and to watch the magic of medicine work. I wouldn't trade my job for anything. Even though it gets very hard and very stressful the rewards out weigh the downsides completely.

Um.... I've got nothing.

I just moved here not too long ago, so i don't really know yet. I've never been to a casino though....
1. Fave TV show- Hmmmm.....Can I just say channels? lol Anything on Animal Planet, HGTV, or Discovery.
2. No human kids yet, but working on that.
I have two dogs-Artex and Anya. Artex is a 9 yr old American Eskimo, and Anya is a 1 1/2 yr old Husky mix. Two cats-Simon (8 months) and Little Kitty (4 yrs. old).
3. I am currently the Artistic Director of Academy of Dance Arts and Movement, and a ICU veterinary technician for the VCA on Montgomery. I am already doing what I love for work.
4. Something unique would be that I've had 3 surgeries on my left ankle. The last surgery on it they had to rebuild some ligaments with a cadaver's ligaments.
5. Well, I just moved here a couple months ago, so I don't really have a favorite spot yet. But I do like the Flying Star's and Fat Squirrel. I would be up to going to Santa Fe as well. It's only $3 bucks from Rio Rancho on the Railway.
1. What is your favorite televison show? Big Bang Theory - their writers have nailed nerds. I went to school with those guys. I was those guys. I married one of them. =+)
2. Do you have pets, kids, or both? Ages/names? I'm a kid and child free zone. I have plants instead - Pinky the Christmas cactus, Jade the jade plant, Vera the aloe and a few others. And Audrey the pumpkin, but she hasn't been planted yet!
3. What do you do for work? What would you LIKE to do for work? I'm a geologist for the state regulatory agency. I work on mined lands reclamation and abandoned mine land issues. But I would love to get back into arts management and be a dramaturg or stage manager again.
4. What is something unusual or unique about you? I'm with me all the time, so I think I'm pretty boring. I guess I would say that I was a master seamstress.
5. What is your favorite spot in ABQ? (Looking for GTG ideas here.....) I have too many to only have one favorite. I like Winnings for coffee, Annapurna for chai, Hispanic Cultural Center for theatre/art/film, Nob Hill for window shopping. Love Bumblebee burritos.
I definitely am up for a SF GTG since I work there. In SF I love Chocolate Maven (Death by CHocolate), Cowgirl, Plaza Cafe and lots of other places.

I love sports so Sportscenter. I also love CSI and Law & Order

FH and I have 1 dog. Her name is Coco and she is 2 1/2.

I'm an x-ray tech in cardiac lab. I help put in pacemakers and stents in people's hearts when they have blockages in their arteries. I love my job but if money was no object I would go back to coaching volleyball!

I love to go run along the Bosque. That's probably my favorite place because it is so peaceful. I also like Fox & Hound.
