XP: Chinese New Year celebrations

does anybody besides me do anything for this holiday?if so, i thought we could share ideas/recipes/etc... since it is only 2 weeks away

We celebrate Chinese New Year at my DH's grandmothers house.  Unfortunately I don't have any recipes to share since everyone in the family brings a dish and usually it is all from a restaurant.  We usually take Vietnamese Spring Rolls with us.  Always a hit.

do you do any special things (like lucky money, mah-jong(sp), etc...) if so, i'd love to hear any of the details

i usually cook, but nothing very traditional... just whatever chinese food we're in the mood for!

i was reading your blog about how you're "too old" for the lucky money now. Just for fun, we give our dinner party guests red envelopes filled w/chocolate coins and explain the tradition.
