New Years Resolutions

So now that we are past the first month (or at least close to it) from New Years what resolutions did you make and have you been able to reach or at least keep up your goals? Here are my resolutions:

1. Loose weight or at least work out more. Which I've been ok at. I've at least been working out 2x a week but would like to do 3-4

2. Find hubby a job. He's been on 4 interviews so far and I look weekly for jobs for him while he applies away. So good on that one

3. Pay down my student loans and start saving more money. I am now in the single digits of my loans and should be able to pay down the rest of it before summer which is awesome!

So tell me about your resolutions and how well you've been keeping them.

  • Keep motivated and take initiative! With life flying by, it's easy to fall into a rountine and start to slack off. So far I have been doing well. I set specific goals for me during the week and make sure I actually accomplish them. Also, when I find myself with excess free time, I try to find productive things to do rather than play on the internet or watch tv.

Focus on health. I don't need to lose weight per say, but I need to get healthier. I have been watching the food I eat and the portions. Plus, I have started working our more.

Be more positive. It's easy to look at the negatives of life, and I'm really trying to steer away from that. So far I have been doing well. Whenever I get down or upset, I start listing to myself all the good things. It helps me flip the current situation into a positive perspective.

  • 1) Lose weight through a healthy diet and exercise. This is going great! Seven pounds lost and counting!

    2) Help H learn to lead a healthier lifestyle. This is harder. I am trying to help him learn to cut back on bad foods without completely depriving himself, but I am getting really frustrated with his attitude and am about to give up. He has lost 12.5 pounds so far though so I guess I'm not doing too bad.

    3) Go back to school. Check! I'm starting a post bac. accounting program in April and I will (hopefully) be a CPA by this time next year.
