Is anyone here familiar with either the Kids Line or Pottery Barn Kids bedding products? I have my eye on two possible bedding sets (still also trying to decide whether we should get a bedding set or just get sheets & swaddlers/sleeping sacks), one from each company, and if we do get a set, it's important to me that we get one that is soft and of good quality. Since I have no experience with either one of these brands (or any other baby brands), I was wondering if anyone has. TIA!

Re: BR: Bedding
Pottery Barn usually gets pretty good reviews - I don't know about Kids Line, sorry.
We'll probably end up getting bedding sets since I finally found one that I luuuuurve lol, but really, you don't use much except the skirt and fitted sheet (I believe you can use the blanket at 12 months but the bumpers are useless)...so if you're looking for somewhere to save money, you'd be just as well off getting sheets and swaddlers/sacks.
Can you post links to the sets you're thinking of? Inquiring minds want to know lol.
I can't really comment on the quality of the sheets or quilts from PBK but the bumper and bed skirt I ordered from there are really cute. The bumper (that I plan to remove at some point anyways) is really fluffy and the material on both are pretty soft. I was very pleased, but I also only spent $35 on both pieces - they were on major clearance.
Then I just bought carters white sheets on sale at BRU and didn't want a quilt. The carters sheets washed up really nice and have elastic all the way around so they seem to stay in place really well.
The Pottery Barn one is actually discontinued and I'd be buying them second hand, so it would save me roughly $70 (but not a LOT more b/c Pottery Barn is more expensive to begin with) less than the Kids Line one. But here's a link to the pic that I have of it.
The Kids Line one is a new design so it's still way in stock (probably cuz it's pretty expensive too) so here's the direct link to it...it's pretty overpriced IMO but I love it so much---it's sooo cute! And I feel that it's a little bit more unisex than the PBK one but I wouldn't mind using the PBK one for a girl either (if we have one in the future).
I'm a sucker for matching room decor, so I wouldn't be able to resist not getting the matching lamp, mobile, and window valence...so doing bedding sets is gonna cost me...
The reason behind why I like the Pottery Barn one is because I already finished designing our baby announcements and it matches the baby announcements (PIP of the pattern I used for the announcements below) so that's why also I love it so much
I already found the matching mobile and lamp and drapes for it too (but no window valence, which is fine). Still can't decide!
Which bedding sets did you get? Did you get the same ones for the twins? I'm just curious
These are both super cute, but I have to say that I LOVE the Pottery Barn one! It looks so sweet and soft! I think it could definitely work for either a girl or a boy. About not being able to find a valance, if you could find an extra crib skirt somewhere you could probably adapt that to go on the window.
Yup, we're going to get the same ones for both babies. It's this set from Babylicious:
Part of the reason I love it is that it's sold as a 3-piece set, so I can get just the skirt, sheet and quilt and not have to pay for a bumper that I won't use. As a bonus, it's also cheaper than any other sets I was looking at!
I love the bright, happy colors and dots and stripes, and we're painting the nursery a shade of blue that's very close to the one in the bedding, so the room as a whole will look kinda like this (clicky for larger view):
Wow, so the one in your nursery design IS the actual bedding that you got. How did you get it in your design so perfectly like that?!? It looks GREAT! I love it--it looks so happy
Makes me want to smile when I see it! Haha...
Yeah, I like the PBK one better too because even though the Pooh one is cute, everything in the set is this same tan color and I feel like it's a little more dull for a nursery, whereas the blue and yellow in the PBK one feels happier overall
Sounds like PBK quality should be pretty good too (haven't heard anything about Kids Line yet) so I'm leaning towards it a bit more...just contemplating if I should dish out the money for it or not! I actually *just* found another design I liked that's only $80 for the complete set (but no idea what the brand is or how good it is). But it's my bedtime now, so I think I may do a poll tomorrow to help me choose
Photoshop. And, um, too much time on my hands...
I agree about the tan vs color - although I liked a lot of the neutral/tan designs, I ended up wanting it to be brighter and happier, especially since if I was a baby, I'd want bright colors to look at!
Definitely post a poll! You know I love polls.
