Confession and a name post

Confession: I'm reading Sarah Palin's book.

Name: I didn't realize the oldest was named Track because he was born during Track season.  It's a good thing MIL didn't know about this sort of thing.  DH would probably have been Baseball.

Re: Confession and a name post

  • ...Track? omg.

When I catch the pregnants I'll have to check with the corresponding season to see what I'll be naming my kid. Bear season? Sweet!

  • Court is a better name than Track.

Confession:  I've been wearing foundation for the past three months due to acne.  My face picking has stopped dramatically since I began this.  I don't think I can ever leave the house again without.  I've become one of those women.  *hangs head in shame*

I was told I can't wear eye makeup for a week after my Lasik surgery. I will have to work from home that week or walk around with sunglasses on all the time. I blame my mother, she used to scold me for going out without fricking lipstick.

When I told her I can't wear eye makeup she said "oh yes, you'll have to work from home". Thanks mom. Good to know I'm beautiful without makeup. ::grumble grumble puts UD eye shadow on grumble grumble::

  • S, I had bangs until I was 24 becuase my Mom told me I had a big head. She also told me I had a big nose and when I got my sinuses fix she was excited because she thought it would make my nose smaller.  Screw dat!

You don't need eye make up. It makes you look like a whore.  Stick out tongue

    Surprise

I literally can't imagine my mother saying that to me. In fact, she never wanted to see me in makeup. Not for some fundie reason, more because "You have beautiful skin! Why would you want to cover that up with gunk?"

The only thing she was ok with me wearing was mascara, which even then, she wanted it to be clear (which slightly darkened my lashes, because it made them look wet) I was 18 or 19 before I started wearing brown mascara.

  • She's hella vain. She takes a good 2 hours to get done every morning and she can never been seen without makeup. I remember her getting angry at us if she changed her hair or make up and no one noticed. One day she didn't put eye liner on her top lid and was upset that no one commented.

I think having such dark cycles under my eyes doomed me to wearing makeup. She started buying cover up for me at 13. Cover up, then eye shadow, then eyeliner....it's a slippery slope...
