My doc told me I had to have had a vaginal delivery before I could get a mirena. 2 c/s = my cervix is too tight to get it through.
How'd you get yours?
Re: **barbie** re: mirena
Just ask Jojo to do it, DG.
Coo. Maybe I'll ask at my next appt if he'll do it anyway.
The last appt, I was still BFing, so I couldn't do anything with estrogen anyway.
Basically, I am looking for semi-permanent BC that will stop my period. After that, I want permanent BC that will stop my period. No need for periods if there's any reason at all not to have them, imo.
I loved my depo provera, but I've been on it too long and more of it puts me at even worse risk for bone density issues. Booooo.
Hmm. I guess it was just the cervix issue, then. He basically said my options were minipill (which is what I ended up with) or implanon.
I could also be remembering some details wrong. I was still pretty much a postpartum disaster at that point.
... yeah, good thing I've got a nice, thick kielbalsa at home.
my Dr. was cool with it also - she said the same thing about it being a little more painful for women who haven't had children b/c of the cervix dialation - and honestly, that was the worst part of the whole insertion procedure. She didn't have any issues with me not having a vaginal birth/pregnancy/etc.
