week end plans?

What is everyone up to?

I am going up to the lake but the weather is supposed to be crappy. I am bringing my knitting a puzzle and a book so I should still have a good time

Re: week end plans?

  • c is working tonight, so i'm going to game night at a friend's house. i've got another friend in town, so she's going to go along with. it should be a good time.

tomorrow i'm rehearsing in the early afternoon, and we have two birthday parties in the evening. one starts an hour earlier and is for my ex, so we'll  go there to make an appearance, stay for a little while, and then head over to the other party and be fashionably late.

sunday is more of c's softball tournament in the afternoon. at some point i need to do some homework, so i'm sure that'll be thrown in there somewhere...

  • Well I think tomorrow will be yard work but I'd really like to go up to Saratoga early, have breakfast at a friend's restaurant and then window shop along the main street.  Tomorrow night we're supposed to have dinner with a friend whom we haven't seen in ages so that should be nice.

Sunday we might take the LL Bean Kayaking lessons with some friends.  I don't really like water though....

  • Today I'm leaving work early because our couch is getting delivered. It's been disassembled to get it in, and they're to put it back together again in our living room.  Scary!

Tonight we have to pack, pack, pack.

Tomorrow we meet our potential doggies! Then pick up my little sister who's going to hang with us while our parents are out with friends.  We'll probably do some more packing apartment stuff with her.

Then Sunday morning 4:00am it's off the the airport for our weeklong cruise with my family!

  • have a great time on your cruise!! i'm so jealous :)

Tonight Andrea has a softball game, i'll go and watch and chat w/ the other wives per the usual. Our friend (who's hubby is on the team) is bringing her newborn (he's 4 weeks old already!) so i'm looking forward to baby snuggle time :) After the game we're going to a party w/ friends and having a big sleepover at their place.

Tomorrow: errands, wedding stuff, visit w/ friends who are having trouble housebreakign/dominating thier new dog and need some pointers, then maybe see A's family in the evening

Sunday: errands, wedding stuff, and baseball game w/ friends (if the weather holds out)

  • We have a cake tasting tomorrow afternoon, afterwards we plan to go furniture shopping.

Sunday, we are going to the Franklin Park Zoo, and going to target, and hopefully resting/dealing with wedding stuff.

I start my new job on Monday, and I still haven't decided if I'm going to drive, carpool with DP or take the T.

  • Good Luck with the doggie meet and greet, please let us know how it goes.

Enjoy your cruise, I am sure you will have a blast!
  • Brit,
Good luck with the doggies... and have a great time on the cruise!

    Elise,
Enjoy those baby snuggles. I'm jealous!

As for me... well, I'm getting up at 5:40 tomorrow, to get to the 3-day expo by 7 to do a 10-mile walk with fellow 3-day walkers, followed by the actual expo for the rest of the morning. After that Trav and I are heading to our best friends' place so he can join the boys for a bachelor party, and I can join some of the wives for dinner and maybe a movie. Should be fun, although it will definitely be a long day.

Sunday, hopefully we will be taking down all the popcorn ceiling in the guest bedroom! Exciting, but scary... and definitely going to be messy!

  • Jen and I went to Philadelphia this weekend for our second triathlon :-) We did one way back in 2003, before we got married, and are just now getting back on the horse after a long break during law school. It was a sprint distance - half mile swim, 15 mile bike, 3.1 mile run - and we had perfect weather. It was a great course too. Very friendly race. We agreed that it was harder than we remember it being the first time. Results aren't posted yet; I feel like my time was probably slower than in 2003, but I still feel like I improved b/c (1) I didn't have to get off my bike and push on the two hardest hills - I just flipped it into a low-low gear and kept going until I got to the top and (2) I didn't walk at all during the run portion. Now, maybe I ran like an 80-year-old man, but it was running all the same :) Lots of fun. And now, pajamas and pizza :)
