i don't believe they ever really own the cats, as much as they acquire them.

 

my sister raves about this movie, and i think i need to see it. i don't think drew is as good as she's made out to be, but it looks okay.

Agreed.  Although I enjoyed the HBO movie's speculation as to the evolution of their lives.  I have a lot of Little Edie costuming of the day potential in my future.  I am only one or two break-downs away from turning up at Dollar Tree with a skirt on my head.
