AW -- Diva Cup spokesperson, ok... not really but still!
My friend came over this past weekend, and she ended up getting her period for the first time since she gave birth, and luckily I had a few feminine products left around, but I haven't used them for over a year now, and we had a long chat about the Diva Cup the good/bad/and ugly. And she was so excited to get one when she went home

YEA!
Re: AW -- Diva Cup spokesperson, ok... not really but still!
I have to say I saw one today and it scared me.
I'm still looking for the moon cup.
From what I've heard the Moon Cup is only available in the UK. Along with the Lunette.
Hope this helps!
Yeah, unfortunatly MoonCup UK hasn't been FDA approved
. There is some issue too over branding as there is a cup available in the US with the same name, so I'm sure they're trying to keep the UK one out too. From what I've heard on the menstrual cup community on livejournal, you can't even get it shipped here.
I know the Diva looks big, but it really isn't. I think you have to touch one to know how it feels. It's nice and pliable so it's not like trying to shove something hard up there! LOL. The only prob i've had with it was the stem, which I completly cut off, but could still feel. Thanks to the ladies on livejournal, I learned that I could turn it inside out. Best thing ever!
And as far as leaks, I've only had one when I failed to empty it in a timely manner. And unlike tampons, there aren't any of those unexplained leaks where you go to change but the doggone thing is dry. I hate that!
Oh, and the yuck factor is minimal. I used to cringe at the thought of ob too, until I tried it. If you change your cup the way you're supposed to, there is no mess, it's all in the cup!
Ah, thanks!
Well that's annoying!! I really like having some options.
yayyyyy for converting someone!!!
and to everyone that's afraid...i urge you to try it anyway...it's really not htat big, i promise! penis' are at LEAST that big and your body really opens up once you get past insertion..and like PP said, it's super flexible, so it's really not bad at all. like others, I had an issue with the stem and cut most of it off.
as for leakage, i've only leaked twice...once when i first started and a second time when I didn't empty it fast enough...BUT i have crazy heavy periods my first two days and have to empty it every 3 hours.

ditto...i completely understand too, as i was super nervous as well...but i agree 100% that i wish i had tried it sooner! i'm definitely going to be schooling my kids on it...i didn't even know about it until the EFF board on the bump!
