follow up to my monday post
No go on the IUI. Bad follicles b/c missed the ovulation. We saw a different doc on Fri (ours was on vacation) and I knew i didn't like him...that said, they were not well developed Friday, so I don't know how good whatever released was anyway (are there levels of good for eggs? I have no idea).
Boo, regardless.
Re: follow up to my monday post
crap. i'm sorry
best of luck for next cycle. fwiw, DW had a much better/stronger response to clomid the second month she was on it, even though dosage was the same. Maybe C will have the same experience?

I'm sorry this cycle is a bust is a no go. I hope it will give your dr. some tools to work with though in getting ready for next cycle. Sending you lots of positive thoughts!
Even progesterone doesn't tell you if the egg is 'good'. It only tells you how strong of an ovulation you had. An egg might be a bad egg, get fertilized, but fail to develop. It takes extensive testing to find out of a woman's eggs are 'bad'. kwim? And not all follicles release eggs. Sure, most do, but even those that are the lead follicles can burst without an egg being released. Although E2 levels will help the dr. make an educated guess as to how many eggs are there and how likely it is they will release. That's why so much of this is trial and error and time spent figuring out exactly how each woman's body works. It would be nice to have a little window to just peek into and see if everything is doing what it should!
Absolutely! It's because it's such an emotionally draining experience and we all want to make sure we're doing what is 'right'. It's a pressure filled journey that is way too easy to over think.
Sorry this cycle was a no go... but at least you didn't waste samples on a cycle that wasn't going to work out. Hope the next one goes better

CT, that's good to know! He's actually upping it to 100mg since they looked so poor at CD14. We'll see.
Two, interesting...I didn't talk to the RE (he called C) but I wonder if that is a possibility. Maybe we'll ask when we go in CD3. I am kind of peturbed that it looked so crappy on CD14 then on CD17 we were past O, so maybe nothing even released.
Were E2 levels checked on CD14? If not, you might want to add that in the future as another tool. Then again I'm all about the medical route (it's my damn science background) and getting the most info possible.
Good luck hun!
