Read any good books lately?
Hey ladies! I just finished reading The Help (it was good in case you're wondering but not the best book I've ever read) and I need something new! Have you read anything great lately??

Re: Read any good books lately?
That was an awesome book!! You can look in my blog and search under "I read books" to see what I've read recently. It's been a while, though.
I'm actually reading the Wheel of Time series right now too! I'm on book 6 (Lord of Chaos) right now and still loving the series.
You've probably already heard of the Song of Ice and Fire series, but if not I'd highly recommend them since you're into sci fi. I'd recommend them to everyone else too if you're looking for something a little different than your average NY Times Bestseller book. They're extremely well written and I thought they were very captivating. They can get a little complex/confusing with all of the characters, but that's what wikipedia is for. ;o)
I don't have that much time to read while I'm in school so I can't say I've got a long list to choose from for recommendations. And before I got into the sci-fi/fantasy I was just reading mostly classics (Jane Austen, Dostoevsky) or a random medical novel. I did try out Pride and Prejudice and Zombies and didn't really like it. It wasn't different enough from the original story to be interesting on it's own (I just kept thinking how much I love the actual story).
Now I want to go over to Half Price Books and browse for new books to read. )
