too shy to post on the cooking board - total AW BU

I only lurk on the cooking board, so I thought I would be a AW here and post my latest recipe on my blog.  I have been trying to take more pictures when I cook because I like the step by step thing.  I still haven't mastered lining up my pics in blogspot.

Next up - city chicken and mushrooms soaked in wine... I hope it snows this weekend so I can stay in and cook!

Re: too shy to post on the cooking board - total AW BU

  • yum, looks delicious!  i will definitely be making this once i get a new crockpot! my crockpot has a crack in it...what kind do you use, and do you like it?

  • That does look good!  I'm not a big beef eater, typically a burger is about all I can do, but I tend to crave a hearty beef stew once the weather turns cold.  I did try a beef stew in the crockpot earlier this winter and it turned out pretty good and it froze well, but I may try this recipe the next time I want to do a beef stew.

I have this crockpot: http://www.crock-pot.com/Product.aspx?cid=113&pid=7163 but mine is white.  I love that it has a timer and then will automatically switch to warm so food doesn't burn or overcook. Mine also came with an additional divided insert, but I can't find that combo online.  I also have a smaller, no-name slow cooker that I use for dips or smaller meals but it does not have a timer, just the off, high, low or warm settings.
