swim lessons recs

I'd like to learn how to swim. By swim, I mean more than doggy paddle and not panic when it's deeper than 4'8". Any recs*?

*I'd like a relatively clean pool too. Thanks :)

Re: swim lessons recs

  • I would SO love to teach you to swim! I was a swim instructor for 6 years during the summer at our local pool. But from where I live to where you live is probably a HUGE difference...

Bummerific! It's the thought that counts. :)

  • I would probably check out Portland park and recs. You are at reasonable distance to Clackamas Town center, aren't you? That is a great pool. I just don't know about their swimming lessons.
  • I started swimming at Mt. Hood Community College Aquatic Center this last month. I didn't necessarily need lessons, but the pool seems to be cared for very well.  http://www.mhcc.edu/pages/995.asp

    Hope that helps!
