f/u to quit/fired poll
Since I know you were all losing sleep over it, I have confirmed that quit/fired HR manager was, in fact, fired. Those who voted "fired" have earned an extra cookie today.
Supposedly, his position was eliminated. Supposedly, our president walked into Fired Guy's office Friday afternoon and said, "Your position has been eliminated. Please pack your things." And then left. (Pres. is Austrian, which explains a little; mostly, it's just his personality.) Supposedly, my boss's boss called him Saturday to ask him to help her with some things anyway. Klassy.
I'm getting this secondhand, from a cw who is FB friends with him. This almost made me reconsider my policy of not friending coworkers.
