For those of you that own Uggs boots (or a similar knock off)

What do you wear them with? I had gotten a pair (Gap knock off) back in November and have yet to wear them. They are super comfy, but I feel like they just look silly when I've tried to pair them with black leggings.

Re: For those of you that own Uggs boots (or a similar knock off)

  • oh, I just wear them with jeans.  or sweatpants.

UNDER my jeans, I should add.  I'm not a skinny-jeans-tucked-into-boots kind of girl.

  • I wear mine all the time. I wore my black pair the other day under a long black dress I had. It's a really casual cotton dress I wore with a cardigan. Tell people to kiss your arse if they have a problem with what you wear them with.

  • I am not a tucker inner either.  I also never did the belt around the waste.  My friends tease me and tell me I stand in the mirror and put on all the trends and just stare at myself. :-)

    This.

If you're over 16 and wear them with your pant legs tucked in people will make fun of you. Behind your back.

  • Okay this is what I don't understand about the tucking your jeans into a pair of Uggs. Uggs are furry inside to keep you warm, tucking your pants into them defeats the purpose does it not?
  • My 16 y.o. wears them and looks cute but they wear out so fast on the bottoms.

And then they get all bunchy at the top. If you wear skinny jeans with them, then I can understand. But wearing regular jeans and then trying to bunch them in the boots looks bad.

  • So I guess I'm going against the grain here but I tuck my jeans in all the time to my tall uggs....not my short uggs.  I wear skinny jeans though so there's no helping the situation.  If I'm wearing boot cut jeans then I put them over my uggs.
  • I wear mine with jeans, and I do tuck them in.
  • I'm sorry y'all, I just think they look silly with your pants tucked in. Lawren is right that skinny jeans are better than boot cut.

On the other hand, UGG makes kit boots that are slouchy on your calves & ankles and I think those look cute worn outside skinny jeans or leggings.

  • I have a pair of pink ones that I don't wear out and about...I wear them around the house with my track pants..(.and I don't pay attention whether those are in or out), capri pants, shorts, whatever.

I have a pair of sweater boots I wear under skirts or UNDER jeans to work.

  • I guess I'll just start wearing them under my jeans. I don't own any skinny jeans and don't feeling like going thru the hassle of buying another pair just for the boots alone....and I don't want Shoe laughing behind my back either.

  • In my opinion*

    This is bad...

  • Ok, another fashion question. When it starts to warm up, would it be ok to wear the boots with a denim skirt or is that a big no no?

What's the right answer so I don't get laughed at? Embarrassed

  • I would wear them with leggings. But I'm the kind of person I don't give a shi*t was people think. So you wear them how you want Dear.

  • LOL. I'm a strict "UGGs are for cold weather" person. I think they can be cute with the right skirt, but I wouldn't wear them without leggings or tights. That also might have something to do with the fact that if it's warm enough to go without leggings (or tights) I'm going to be in flip flops.

Right now if we get a 40+ degree day and the pavement isn't too sloshy I'll break out my sandals to give my toes a breather.

So maybe I'm not the one to be advising on the UGG/skirt combo.

Yep. The best fashion advice anyone ever gave me was if you're comfortable in it you look good, but if you feel silly you need to find something else to wear.

  • I've held off on buying Uggs since I figured they'd be out of style soon, but that doesn't seem to be happening. Maybe I'll buy a pair of knock-offs of something.
  • Hehe, just found this on google:

I like the look of them with the denim pencil skirt. I guess I'll just have to try it on with and without leggings and go from there. Thaks ladies :)

I wish i was still "young" and could wear short skirts. They were out of style for a good bit of the time that they would have been age appropriate.

  • I would wear them under jeans.
