At least you have a sink fairly close to the bathroom. (And is dedicated as the bathroom sink?) If I understood correctly you have the bedroom, bathroom and then the sink/vanity in a closet type area. This actually makes sense, because then you don't have flushing toilets near your toothbrushes.
I'm confused by the fact that she had no sink that was designated as a bathroom sink. It sounds like the only sink in the old apartment was in the kitchen.

Yeah, it's the bathroom sink - it's just not in there with the bathroom.
I don't know what EK had, but I'm hoping it was something like that, and not just a kitchen sink, and she just sucks at writing. Cuz, y'know, she does, and all.
