"First" day of work

I was offered part-time work with my company. 30 hours a week, Thursday afternoons and Fridays off. Bossman and 2nd-tier bossman asked if I still planned to look for another job (uh, yeah). Both were quick to point out that the further along I got with my pregnancy I probably wouldn't want to bother looking for a job until after the baby. Also, "this part-time could go on for a long time!"

I don't know that they know what they're doing.

I like the tone of that last statement.

    .
  • So...what they're tactfully saying is "you're stuck at part time...but we don't think you can leave because, HA, yo'ure knocked-up so you're TRAPPED"

What swell people to work for Hmm

  • Speaking from experience, people do hire pregnant women. Even if they are far along. And guess what....they don't care. Work knows I'm knocked up and they were like whatev, we'll deal with it in April.

So they can take that idea and shove it.

  • I'm still looking for a job. It's not my problem if they don't know what the heck they're doing. I need to find something soon because cobra is going to kill me. It's 380/month, and that's just for H and I. Our insurance rep is looking into things like medi-cal and healthy families, to help cover the pregnancy and baby. I didn't go to college, get a job, or wait til my 30's to get married and have kids so I could end up on public assistance.  I'll do it, for the baby, of course, but I'm not happy about it.

I just came back from delivering paperwork to my old office. Stupid replacement lady says, "Did you get a bunch of mail today?? Usually, Mondays are the big mail days when we get ALL the bills for ALL the properties!!!ZOMGWTFBBQ!!!!111ELEVENTY!!!

Really? REALLY,LADY!!! Did you forget I managed all of A/R and A/P before you came along? So, you're scary stack of mail is really nothing new to the badass who did it all. She seriously needs a junkpunch.
