I'm going to visit my college roommate in Doral in two weeks. I was curious if you ladies had any recommendations on fun things to do. I'm not a big club person, but want to find something fun to do. Can you recommend anything for two girls with no responsibilities for three days?
Thanks!

Re: Vacation to Miami/Doral
Shopping! LOL There is an outlet mall nearby that is pretty good, Dolphin Mall. The mall also has a theater and a bowling ally, that is a bit more hip with club-type music/atomphere and a bar... very upscale. Then there is Cinebistro in the same mall. I've never been, but I've heard it is fun - eat / drink while you watch a movie. However, you do need reservations, as it fills up quickly.
Another lovely mall nearby is Merrick Park - lots of upscale shops, and restaurants - located in the Gables. Another nice area in the Gables is Miracle Mile... lots of restaurants and bars.
Like pp said, the Doral Spa is amazing. And if you are into golf, they have great courses.

Like PP....the Spa there is amazing. Its pricey but worth it. There are two malls in the area, tons of restaurants. The cinebistro Jackie is talking about is super nice. Ive been twice. Its great if you want a smaller theater setting and you can have lunch or dinner there.
As far as clubs, Doral is more of a residential/commercial area. However, the grove is not too far from doral. I would say about 20 mins away?
I agree with PP. Definitely go to the spa if it's in your budget, people always rave about it. Hit up the Dolphin Mall for outlets and Merrick Park for a more upscale place. I would also go to Miracle Mile for shopping and eating. I love Mis Saigon down there!
Coconut Grove isn't far like Jenny said and neither is South Beach. Doral is pretty centrally located!
