Right on, my fiance is born and raise here and i am from Girloy, California. My sister lives out in gilbert with her husband and baby girl. They love it out there, CJ, my fiance and i play around with the idea of moving out there eventually but we currently live in Surprise and love ebing so close to our parents and his brother and sister in law. Gilbert is very pretty, everything is new and it feels safe. That's what Iove most about it! It was hard to leave Scottsdale because that is where I grew up, where most of my family is and where all my friends are, but my fiance teaches in the Chandler School District so he needed to be close to his school. I didn't want him to have a far commute and it was easier for me to transfer school and work, then it would have been for him. So far, I really enjoy it and it is just a 20 min drive on the freeways to Scottsdale.
My wedding is 3/21/10...verrrrrry close! I am nearing the end of my planning journey...its very surreal and to be honest as much as Im ready to get married I don't want the planning to be over. Im having so much fun! Congrats on your wedding, the weather will be beautiful! Where are you getting married?

We are getting married at Sun Cuty Grand in Surprise. I am really starting to get into the meat of planing it, I have reserved almost everything but the florist, i am at a loss there i don't know who to go through. But I am starting to plan the fun little deatils of the day with my fiance and the more we talk and plan the more excited we get
Gilroy is in Northern CA, about an hour or so south of San Fran. I grew up there so i miss the beaches and the cooler summers but i love being so close to my family out here.
Check out the theknot/phx board and really utilize the recommendations over there. That's how I stumbled upon my florsit. I'm happy to give you her info if you'd like. It might be a bit of a drive for you though because her office is in Awhatukee. But the girls on the knot are really helpful and there are a ton of vendor reviews over there : ) Let me know if you want my florist's contact info!

The guest list started out as a very intimate 80...and has grown to about 120 : S haha I think it is done growing though!!!
The actual rehearsal itself will be at the ceremony/reception location(Gainey Ranch) and I havent decided on where the rehearsal dinner will be yet. I grew up in Scottsdale and my favorite restaurant is Julio G's...so Im leaning towards that!

My shower is on the 20th and Im reallly really excited to see so many people I haven't seen in so long. High school friends and such....We registered at BBB, Target and Macy's. However, it was a stretch to find things to register for because we have lived together for a year and a 1/2 now. We have pretty much everything a household needs!!! So it was tricky!

The last big thing on the list was order our wedding bands, which we did yesterday. Now it is just small details. I still need to get my shoes and jewelry. Have my final dress fitting and hair/makeup trial. Print programs, do seating arrangements...the small detail list goes on and on...lol
The bridal shower is being held at a friend of the family house in Gilbert. Her and 3 other women are throwing it. They wanted to do individual ones but I thought one big one would be better..so Im sure it is going to be very nice: )

I want to see the dress! Post a pic!!! Where are you thinking of going for shoes and jewelry? The Wedding Accessory Superstore (WAS) has a huge selection and coupons/sales every week. You should add your email to their mailing list. Did Brian ever pick out his groomsmen gifts?
