Let's talk LOST (Spoilers)
Was anyone else a little... underwhelmed?
I mean, sure, some questions were answered. But I'd heard a quote from one of the producers that that episode would answer more questions than the last two seasons. And... did I just totally miss them all?
So now there are two planes of reality? One where their plan worked, and one where it didn't? And Jack's the only one in the new reality that realizes it?
I'm all confused. *off to read the message boards*
Re: Let's talk LOST (Spoilers)
Heh, well Juliet realized it too.
Last night confirmed my theory that Richard came over on the Black Rock - I'm guessing as a slave based on the chains comment. If they don't show us Richard in chains, I'm going to riot.
I don't think Jack has any knowledge/memory of the island in the alternate reality. I will be really pissed if that continue the dual reality thing all the way through the season.
There are still some missing pieces in that too, such as Desmond being on the plane when he wasn't on the first one. The crash never happening wouldn't mean the island never happened, but it might mean Desmond never went to the island.
When Juliette said it worked, I believe she meant that it got them to the current year, not that it made the crash never happen.

I can't wait for the "im getting a divorce" post in 5 years or so because your husbands were fed up with your disgusting chair asses from playing on the knot all day and getting fired 4-5 times for not doing any work. you guys are all winners!! ~ Laur929
I wasn't underwhelmed. I enjoyed it.
New John = smoke monster = MIB That answers some questions but raises a lot more.
Richard was a black rock slave.
What else was answered?
I want to know how Juliette knew that the bomb worked. And who or what is inhabiting Sayid's body now. And what did Miles hear/see when Sayid died? How did Hurley still win the lottery without the numbers? Why isn't Kate dead yet? I'm tired of her.
I just a friendly gal looking for options.
I disagree about Jack. I think he was aware. He strapped himself in and then clutched the armrest like he was bracing himself for another impact when the plane was going through turbulence, he looked at each of the Losties with recognition (especially Rose & Bernard). He was way too confused when Desmond disappeared.
I'll bet it's MIB that's taken over Sayid's body. Either him or Jacob. I'll be interested to see if they reveal that next week.
I think it's Jacob that took over Sayid, since deadJacob told Hurley to take him to the temple. Jacob knew that it wouldn't heal Sayid (even though that's what the temple people were expecting), but wanted to be able to "inhabit" his body.
I'm pretty sure that the home Smokey wants to return to is the temple.
I forgot about the CGI stuff. Yeah. That was lame.
I think Jack remembered Desmond from the time they met at the stadium, maybe. We still don't know enough about the new timeline to know what did/didn't happen.
DH and I are a little confused about whether there are 2 timelines or if Jack, Kate, etc. exist in 2 places in 2007. Granted, the current 2 paths are 2004 (plane) and 2007 (island), but the 2004 people must exist somewhere.
I am loving how Kate is still trying to get away and ended up in the cab with Claire. (But I would also not be sad if Kate DIAF.)
I had read the theory that Richard was from the Black Rock, and yeah, I think the "chains" comment confirmed that. I'd also read that smokey = MIB = new John.
And now Sun and Jin are at least both on the island in 2007. Should be interesting.
All in all, it wasn't OMGAMAZING, but I did like it and was shocked that 2 hours had passed at the end.
I really just hope we don't ever see Juliet detonate the bomb again. DH and I re-watched the finale last week (with pop-up commentary), so we saw it then. Then we watched the "first 4 minutes" video on ABC.com on Monday and saw it then. Then we watched the recap show and saw it again. Then it was in the main show. Seems like we saw it another time or two, maybe in previews or commercials? Seriously. I get it. Juliet detonated the bomb. (A little fact I wish Sawyer would share with everyone else.)
Ha, DG - - the Juliet thing drove me nut. I think I saw it about 10 times yesterday because I rewatched the finale in the afternoon. I just addressed it in an open letter on Facebook. I hope the formatting works here.
Dear LOST,
I have been with you through thick and thin. I have defended you to others, even during seasons 3 and 4. I have put up with a lot of craziness from you but have always given you the benefit of the doubt. And I even excused your poor special effects AND Nikki and Paulo.
However, after last night?s season 6 premier, you are now on thin ice with me. Consider this a warning. If you don?t shape up soon, I can no longer be friends with you. This relationship is quickly becoming one-sided and at some point will no longer be beneficial to me.
To be fair to you, I will give you a list of what I hope to never see from you again: (SPOILER ALERT)
1. The smoke monster beating up a room full of people. C?mon! Those ?arms? were ridiculous!*
2. Stereotypical pirate costumes
3. Juliet falling down the hole and beating the bomb with a rock (seriously, we just watched it twice on the recap show, and then you had to show it again during the new episode? Jeez.)
4. Boone
5. Ready-to-light torches whenever/wherever you need them.
And, finally
6. The island underwater (a la Lost City of Atlantis).*
*Unless you can beef up your special effects budget and hire some good CGI artists.
Here is a list of what I would be happy to see more of:
1. Desmond
2. Claire
3. Desmond
4. The charm and excitement of seasons 1 and 2.
5. Desmond
And, finally
6. Desmond
Sincerely,
AuntFlo
