My MIL had an MRI yesterday that showed lesions on her lungs and brain. Apparently it's lung cancer that has spread.
Any dust and prayers are helpful. My FIL says the doctors are talking about treatable and "cure" but I'm scared that the cure word is just to protect his sons. Her speach is being affected by the lesion(s) on the brain and that's scaring the sh** out of me.
They live in Houston so we are headed that way today or tomorrow- my poor DH, on top of this has, a nasty case of the flu so we need to wait until he isn't contagious before going.
Anybody have experience with lung cancer that has spread? Everything I read online says that if it's spread out of the lungs it's stage IV and that's scary.
Re: Need some dust
Stage IV is very scary, especially if it's in the brain and already giving her symptoms =( **nestie dust** for some real answers soon. I'm sure they'll throw everything they have at it!
Hope DH gets well soon too.
So sorry to hear your news.
My MIL didn't have lung cancer, but had melanoma that spread to her lungs and brain. And, as you mentioned, usually if the cancer has metastasized to other organs, it is Stage IV. I have a cousin who is fighting Stage IV lung cancer right now and is doing great, so keep your head up!
Sending no cancer dust your way!
