Re: Very Quiet...
We got more snow last night. 4" more. Sadly, it meant a snow day for the kids and not for us. So I am working 7:30-12 and then L is working 1-5:30 so we can both get in a half day and not have to take a full day vacation. Now we are supposed to get at least another 12" Friday/Saturday. UGH. Global warming...riiight.
This snow was beautiful. My drive to work was gorgeous. I wish I had my camera - although taking pics at 65mph, isn't a good idea, huh?
I am actually doing some work today and following up on some overdue things. I am hoping the kids take a nap during my afternoon kid duty (after we go play in the snow!) I could use a nap (after Carter woke me at 5:15 this morning and never went back to sleep. Grrr.)
It is very quiet!
I am here, enjoying a little quiet before the PT gets here. S had some cancellations so she will be home soon. Hooray! I will enjoy the extra hands and eyes to the fullest.
SSG-I hope you feel better soon. It must be very hard to stay away from sweet, little E.
I'm popping in quickly. Spent the morning in a conference - they are all annoying but this one was especially mind numbing.
now i'm off to have some lunch!

I'm just slammed with real work. Not surprising considering my event is just 74 days away and my due date is only 58 - lol! The entire timeline of event prep has been moved up about two weeks which is making things much more time sensitive and critical. I haven't even check my personal email yet today.
Maybe during my lunch break (if you can call eating at your desk a break) I'll get a chance to catch up on my boards.

I am at work, and eating lunch at the moment. Settling down to do a research project after I eat. Currently being very selfish and annoyed that once again this year, my birthday has turned into a big pile of crap. Planned to go to Monticello/Charlottesville for a 4-day weekend; fell through b/c we had unexpected expenses in December and January. Planned to just do a day trip to Monticello on the 9th; fell through b/c Jen has a big meeting that day and can't take it off. Planned to go to Monticello on the 7th instead; now it's going to be extremely cold that day AND we're getting a foot of snow on Saturday, so the roads are going to be crap. Back up plan to go to museums in Baltimore shot down by same storm. Now have no plan. Moving birthday to July.
But happy that my parents are planning to go to Hawaii for their 35th anniversary - they really deserve it, and I know they'll have a wonderful time. Happy that I'm not too busy at work right now. Happy that Jen and I are happy and I'm turning 31 with no major stress or health problems -- that is a gift, and I know it.
I am at work. I had an eye appointment this morning so everything is a little fuzzy with my leee-zard eyes. Sorry for the bacon haters out there...and, I just started the Voges Mo's Dark Chocolate Bacon Bar that DW got me as part of my b-day gift. I ration out the 8 squares over 8 days....good god that is good.
I am glad to hear all of your updates...things HAVE been quiet around here.
I haven't messaged in a long time, but thought I would drop in for my baby news if anyone is interested. K is 37 weeks and 1 day today, she has been on bed rest since Jan. 13 because she has been having contractions since then. The baby's head is WAY down (station 0), and has been since the 13th and the doc told us then she didn't expect him to be more than a couple of weeks. Well here we are 3 weeks later and still no baby. Going to the doc in about an hour and crossing my fingers that we have some dilation or something!
K is going nuts having contractions of varying degrees about every 6-8 minutes for the last 3 weeks. We are really hoping tonight might be the night because our doc (whom we LOVE) is on call.
Ready for this guy to get here.....

We are doing okay, however C has been having contractions off and on for the last 24 hours. The doctor told her to keep seated and drink a lot of water. He also gave her the criteria on when to come in to the hospital. We both thought we were going to have to go in last night. She will be 33 weeks on Saturday...the babies need to keep put for awhile!
