Valentines Day plans?

What does everyone have planned?

there are so many valentine's day haters.  i don't get it - who doesn't love a day devoted to love?

that being said, we have zero plans as of yet.  i'll most likely make dinner and go all-out on a fun dessert.  maybe we can go have a picnic or something - a fun family day.

I'm not exactly hating.  I'll just be on my own which kinda blows.

No plans yet and probably won't have any.  DH is on a total health kick so no fun going out plans for us.  We never really do much to celebrate and I don't expect anything. 

Valentine's Day will be my parents 50th wedding anniversary so I will focus on that for the day.

I'm a hater. I'm all about the love - I'm just opposed to there being one day I have to celebrate it en masse. No thank you to crowded restaurants.

Plus my H's birthday is just a few days before, so we'll likely already have gone out to a nice dinner recently. We'll just stay in and watch a romantic movie, most likely.

We have dinner plans on the Friday before at Flemings to celebrate it.  The only reason we are going out is because we have a gift card to the restaurant.  

On Sunday I plan just to make a really nice dinner for him and maybe go to a movie in the afternoon.

yeah, i avoid all restaurants like the plague on valentine's day.  jacked-up prices, slow and sucky service, less-than-fabulous food.

I am going to surprise MH.  I got an email for the Melting Pot and I hate going out, but it made me think I could do it at home!  I am going to make a beer cheese fondue.  MH's favorite beer is brewed in MN.  I called the brewery, found out they have one distributor here.  Called the distributor, and found one liquor store in Orlando that carries it!!  I am going to make the fondue with this beer.  I'm going to skip the meat fondue and make an entree, but then do a chocolate espresso fondue for dessert.

I used to LOVE Valentine's Day but the past few years I've been sad and haven't really celebrated it. 

Since it's on a Sunday this year I decided to make it a Love Day for the Princess and I and also to send cards out to all of my friends like the old school elementary days.

I think we're going to stay in and make dinner or something. No gifts, because we're broke.

NCM - Melting Pot sounds so yummy right now.

Nothing for us as of yet since this is the first time in years where he'll be free somewhat to actually celebrate on that day. MH usually has swimming championships where he's working 12-16 hours day that entire week or weekend. So we usually celebrate a day or two later.

Since it's a Sunday I think he only has water polo practice?

We don't usually go out either... all of the restaurants feel like clusterfcuks to me. But I really want to see that "Valentines Day" movie.

DH and I are going up to LA for the weekend.  We will get a chance to meet up with some friends on Saturday and then him and I will go out to dinner on our own.  We will probably check out some sites on Sunday and then head back home.

We've talked about it (I'm not big on the day, he is) but given we're in the process of putting offers in on two houses that I would prefer to just stay home with a movie and relax with the baby.

We're going out to dinner. Prices haven't been jacked up where we're headed. I just hope that service is okay and we don't have a repeat of last year's service disaster.

we've made cheese fondue the past few years, not sure if we'll do it again or try something different.  whatever we do will involve staying home though.

We're going down to San Diego Saturday night. It wasnt so much for valentines day but more so because we found a cheap deal and we both need a mini getaway. Finding a place for dinner on Sat that isnt already booked though has been a bit harder than I expected considering vday is actually Sunday.

Ha! I almost forgot that it is coming up until you mentioned it.

So, no. No plans for now.  Thinking about it more, I think we will just have cake and make something fancy at home, along with celebrating it with the kids.

No plans so far but I'm sure it will involve a gift card since we are low on funds. So Outback or PeiWei here we come!

If all goes well, I will be making a nice breakfast/brunch for us and just hanging out together. It will just be nice to not have MH working that day

Couples massage. We were going to add couple yoga, but I'm not sure if a new studio would let me practice seeing as I'm huge.

I got nothing. Well, that's not true. I'm going to drink expensive brightly colored cocktails with another female and not be irritated at the fact that I'm dating someone who lives in NYC.
