Natural History Museum = Very meh. I breezed through everything except the gemstone exhibit, where the Hope Diamond was displayed. THAT part was interesting and oh-so-shiny.
And I had a tagalong. Some Japanese dude with an SLR camera saw me snapping away, and decided to follow me around, snapping everything I did. Homeboy was standing two inches away from me. He even stepped on my toes a couple times. Literally. I needed a "GetTF Out of My Personal Space" sign. In hindsight, I should've just turned around and started taking pictures of him, but I'm afraid he would've returned the favor.
Re: Well that was lame.
Yeah, that's the least interesting one. I'll sometimes wander through the dinosaurs if I'm with kids, but generally it's a one-stop museum.
US History is 3 stops: the pop culture case (Puffy Shirt, Kermit, Ruby Slipper, etc.), the Star Spangled Banner, and the Presidents' Wives' dresses.
At Air and Space you walk through the shuttle then head to the gift shop for astronaut ice cream.
