So tonight, in about two hours, I'm going to leave work and hit the gym. I'm in the middle of the couch-to-5k training program and tonight is a pretty big jump - We're talking from doing intervals of running no more than 3/4 miles at a time to today, which calls for a 2 mile (or 20 minute) run. Not a big deal to veteran runners. HUGE deal for me.
So send me your vibes - I'm gonna need them!

You can definitely do it! Just rock out to some tunes! I usually put a towel over the screen on the treadmill that shows my progress because it feels a lot more taxing when I sit an watch my pace. Just do what feels good to you!
LoL, that's the problem, Nicole. What feels good to me is sitting on the couch watching TV.
That being said, everyone, Thank you for the vibes. I TOTALLY did it. I didn't do the two miles, but I did do the 20 minutes (about 1.6 miles for me). The C25k plan always gives distances AND times. Up until now I've been doing the distances, but I figured I'd go with the time this time. It's still more than twice as far as I've run distance wise and/or time wise.
I think I might stay on this workout another day before advancing and see if I can't run the full two miles next time. We'll see how i feel.
Thanks again!
