Just found out that I am pregnant.
I'm not crazy about my currrent gynecologist and don't really want to stay with her through this pregnancy. Can anybody recommend an OB/GYN in the Rocky Hill/Wethersfield area? South of there would be fine too, like Cromwell or Middletown. I'd also be willing to drive north towards the Hartford area as long as it isn't too far. My preference would be a female doctor, but I'm open to recommendations for male doctors as well. Also, are there any doctors you would suggest staying away from? Thanks!

Re: OB/GYN recommendation
I use CT Multi-Specialty group out of Hartford (in building attatched to Hartford Hospital.) I see the N.P. mostly but she obviously does not deliver.
I've seen Dr. Levine a couple of times and really liked her - I"d defiently reccomend her. Also Dr. Courtland comes highly recomended but I"ve never met her.
Heather - Isn't that practive Farmington oB-GYN? I ask b/c I used to go there and saw Dr. Farwell once - maybe she moved.....
Yes, it's the same practice, they call themselves Hartford OBGYN and Farmington OBGYN based on which office you go to.
oooooooh --- totally makes sense - thanks for the clarification!
I go to Crescent Street OB/GYN in Middletown CT which is affiliated with Middlesex Hospital. I went there through both of my pregnancies and they were excellent. The primary doctor I use there is Bingham. If you would like any additional information let me know.
gynecology and obstetrics (G+O) is affiliated with Hartford hospital and has offices in Rocky Hill and Glastonbury. They came recommended to me by someone who had already had a baby, and now I'm pregnant. I've been with them for 3 years and have been very pleased.
