Superbowl plans

What are ya'll doing?  Are you preparing any foodstuffs?

We've got probably about 10-15 people coming over.  I'm going to make duck and sausage gumbo (a la the Chimes) and potato salad, guests are bringing appetizers and my friend Morgan is bringing petit fours.  I'm debating on making a Mississippi Mud. 

I'm keeping it low-key because NEXT Sunday (1 week after SB) the Alexandria parade passes my house so we're going to have a butt-ton of people here.  I think we'll have MrShoe's jambalaya and some white beans maybe, maybe.  And appetizers, haven't decided what yet.  And king cake.

You won't regret making that.  I never liked jambalaya until I had his.  It's so farking good.  Call me if you have any questions while making it!

The IL's are having a smallish superbowl party and some of our friends (plus the god kids) are coming over there. I think DH would have made me go there regardless b/c his dad has the biggest high def tv in creation. I told MIL that I would bring something sweet but I haven't decided what yet. I may try my hand at making king cake (a la Christen).

Well, thankfully they are GOOD also but DH is also their godfather so they pretty much get called the godkids all the time.

Which version are you going to try?  The dough I used for the blueberry cream cheese one came out best, I found.

Going to New Orleans to watch it with some friends.  DH and I don't have to work until Monday afternoon so we'll have some time to recover.

We have no plans at all.. I was so hoping that my parents weren't going to do something so we could go over to their house and watch the game on their flatscreen but they are going to my uncles who is hosting a SBP for the youth group at our church.

Going to my MIL's house and BIL is coming over. We will have Randazzo's king cake among other things although I think all I'll eat is the king cake
