Nutella lovers come in

So the big jar of Nutella was on a 2 for 1 sale and I couldn't resist, but other than putting it on my morning toast I have no idea what to do with it.

Re: Nutella lovers come in

  • I have a kicka$$ Nutella brownie recipe at home.....unfortunately I just got to work and won't be home now for another 9 hours.  I will post it for you later though.  DH and sister say they are the best brownies they have ever tasted.

  • I put some on all my fruit- apples, bananas, pears, etc... it tastes so good!  I've also been known to steal a spoonful when i'm craving chocolate :)

I do the fruit thing too...I put in on strawberries and bananas and add some whipped topping...yum!

Also with ice cream (vanilla or something nutty)...it's yummy, but that one makes me feel guilty sometimes.

And...you can also make crepes and fill them with nutella, nuts and fruit...or just with plain nutella if you want.

  • My college roommates and I did nutella ravioli once-- it was SO good! you can buy the ravioli at the store, and all you do is fill it with nutella, dip it into some oil (fry it) for a minute or two, take it out, let it sit on a napkin for a few minutes (drains some of the oil out of the rav) and its SO GOOD!
  • I've never had Nutella but really want to try it.  I just keep forgeting about it when I go to the store!  All your ideas sound so yummy.
  • Nutella is my crack!!  You can totally just eat it alone with a spoon haha!

I really love nutella on pretzels.  And I do the fruit thing too...but it tends to slide around a bit.  I like it best on oranges and strawberries.

I also put it on top of my banana bread, or rice krispie treats...or I made a rice krispie treat version using cinnamon toast crunch in place of the rice krispies and it was heaven.  Last night even I just took a spoon full of Nutella and then dropped some cinnamon toast crunch on that and ate it.  I need some now.

  • I super puffy heart Nutella! Straight out of the jar w/ a spoon, that's my method of choice! :)

I am super interested in this brownie recipe because I tried a cookie recipe using Nutella once & it was not good.

  • I am also super excited about the brownie recipe!  Natalie you are out of control!!  I am so going to try all of your suggestions!  Chocolate banana bread...yumm!!
  • Crepes! But those are labor intensive

Peanut Butter and Nutella Sandwiches are pretty awesome, I'm partial to having it with crunchy peanut butter.

Or nutella and banana sandwich on white bread.

Definitely as a fruit dip or pretzel or cracker dip.

Now I have to go to the crepe stand at Mall of America tonight and get my fix. Thanks Barbara! Stick out tongue
