wait. have any of you used a dollar store pee stick test?

i once had no tests, and didn't feel like spending the good money on the premium brands. (i could put my imaginary future kids through college on what i probably have spent on pee stick tests)

it's a miniature test in a miniature cassette, and it comes with a miniature tube so you can suck your pee out of a cup (cup not included) and place 3 drops on the cassette hole.

you need to make sure your bathroom vanity is clean, or you'll need to bring in a small table to the bathroom to work the test without dropping everything all over the place. especially important if you have a dog who likes to get involved if he thinks there is fun to be had.

so there's a reason why it's a dollar, and they make you work for that dollar.

I once got  a false positive on one of those tests.. apparently there was a recall with some of them.

But other than that, I thought it was kind of fun to play laboratory in my bathroom.

I have to pee in a cup.  I tried to pee directly on one before and my hand got all wet and I ruined the test by getting too much pee on it.

Yes, I used lots of them back in the day.  I can't pee directly on anything without wondering if it was too much, too little, etc.  I prefer the dropper arrangment.

It doesn't count when you urinate on everything you can. You know, I bet that's when your MIL started disliking you. You walked in, introduced yourself, and peed on her rug.

I prefer the digital ones that clearly state = pregnant or NOT pregnant. No wondering "is that a line?" Plus, I pee in a cup because I always pee all over the stick, rendering the test ineffective.

No.  I bought the Target brand of pee-on sticks.  It worked instantly, and for that... I'm thankful?

I got my + w/ the internet cheapie that's less than $1.

I REALLY prefer peeing in a cup to peeing on a stick.  Less aiming issue.

A friend of mine was clearing out her apartment for a move, and she gave me a bunch of individually-wrapped pee sticks that she bought in bulk.

Apparently, she had a paranoid period where she'd POAS every month, irregurdless of activity.

So I've inherited these sketch-looking sticks, no instructions. I'm thinking of peeing on one just for fun, since I'm a couple of days late.

I have. I like them because of the junior scientist aspect. Plus you can pull them apart instead of using them. I don't know why I like that. I just do.

I have some $ OPKs but they didn't give me a positive reading when my other OPKs did.  I prefer peeing in a cup and then dipping the pee stick, but I don't want to mess with a stupid dropper thingy.

No directions because it was printed from the website.  I have about 8 PG tests and 15 OPK's left.

(and, yes, it IS cheaper than $ store.  by about $.25 per test)
