Thought I'd start posting over on the nest side of things and get in touch with some other phoenix ladies. My name is Brianna. My DH and I were married March 20, 2009. We are expecting our first child (a girl) on June 3rd! I have lived in the east valley all my life - graduated from Mesquite High School
I currently work from home for my husbands family construction business and plan on continuing that once our little girl is born.

Re: Hey ladies!! - Intro
Can't wait to meet my baby boy!
Married life is soo good. No regrets what-so-ever. I enjoy it because we still go out and do things with friends and whatnot. With the pregnancy, we just felt like it was the next step. We have been together for a long time and lived together for over a year before our wedding. So I feel like we went through our first year of marriage before we were married. LOL I didnt go to college and DH has a successful family business so we didnt see a reason not to start a family. DH also has older parents (he's 23 and they are both in their mid 60s) and he wanted to have kids younger because he felt like he missed out on father/son time because his dad wasnt physically able to do all the things that younger dads can do.
What part of arizona are you from?
We were together all throughout high school too, and we knew marriage was the right choice for us after graduation. We've never had much in common with anyone our age. I'm so jealous that you're prego!!! We are going to wait until we finish college to start trying - only two more years! I am ready now, but juggling work, school, and the remodel is enough to keep me occupied for the time being. I know exactly what you mean about being young parents, we want the same thing.
We just bought a house in Fountain Hills. I work in Mesa, near the 101 and the 60. And my husband, Casey, works in Deer Valley for the time being.

Hi Brianna!!! CONGRATS on the little one!! That is sooo exciting! Do you have any names in mind yet!?
I am getting married 3/21 this year, so we will have very close anniversaries! Your 1 year is coming up very soon, congrats on that as well!!!
Yes! Definitely finish school first. In my 1st tri I had bad morning sickness and I was exhausted all the time! So if you were in the same situation it would be hard for you to juggle everything. We too are doing an remodeling (a 500 sq addition) to our home right now too - but it should be about 80% complete by June (if we stay on schedule lol) But I am really not to worried about it because if wont affect any of the areas we live in now.
My 2 cents - these two years will give you the oportunity to find GOOD health insurance that covers pregnancy! They wont cover you under an individual policy if you are already pregnant!! (group policy they should tho, if your DH has a good plan)
Oh wow that sounds like a huge project! That is great that you are able to do the work yourselves! My father-in-law is a general contractor and has played a big part in our remodel.
I am really terrified of pregnancy symptoms. You have to tell me all about your experience so far.

We have a few in mind, but I think we are going to go with one that DH picked out a few years ago if we ever had a girl. Cameron Nicole.
I saw that a few posts down - its a beautiful time of year!! Where are you having it at? We had ours at Regency Gardens in Mesa.
I really like that name! Our wedding is at Gainey Ranch Golf Club!
Oh ya? What company does he work with/ own? That would be funny if our company has worked for them. DH knows how to do all sorts of things (his company does plumbing) I think the only thing we will have to sub out is having the trusses installed.
Well I mostly had problems with morning sickness, but I was able to get a prescription of Zofran from my OB. Once I hit about 13 weeks I had a ton of energy, before that I was falling alseep on the couch at like 9!! This time around I had been pretty paranoid that something was going to happen - but once I got out of the first trimester and then had my big u/s at 18 weeks I felt a lot more relieved. (Our first pregnancy ended in a missed miscarriage - I went in to have an u/s to find out both babies didnt have a heart beat anymore and I had to have a surgery called a d&c and have my uterus "cleaned out" because they were too large to pass naturally without a big probablility of hemmoraging)

Hehe DH stands for Dear or Darling Husband - its just forum slang. DF is dear fiance, DD is dear daughter, DS is dear son, and so on.
I live near supersition springs mall!
Physical recovery was just a few days, but emotional recovery was a month or two. I think becoming pregnant again helped me out tho
Why thank you!! I dont think I looked at that one, but I'm sure it will be wonderful
I don't know if you are interested in ever getting together for coffee or shopping, but I just don't have anything in common with anyone from my high school anymore and I'd love to make some new friends.
Can't wait to meet my baby boy!
Ya, that sounds great! Just send me a PM!!
Done!
