BR: White hair?!

I have been absolutely floored by the recent arrival of white hairs -- all identified since becoming pregnant.  In the recent past, I've counted about 15, and they're usually short.  Sometimes I'll find a long strand that's 2/3 brown and 1/3 white at the top.

I googled, but couldn't really find anything about it.  Maybe it's just me getting older, but it's odd that it coincided with the pregnancy. 

Anyone else experience something like this while pregnant?  I sure hope it eases up afterward.

oh my gosh - me too!  I know it's not a big deal, but I was floored when I spotted a white ("gray") hair 2 mornings ago.  It was my first one and I pulled it out to inspect and it was about 3" of white and the rest of the strand was dark brown - so the white part could only have happened during pregnancy.

I didn't notice that in either pregnancy.  Of course, I already had a few white hairs that I did know about and now I seem to have more, but I attribute that to having kids .

I did notice that the PP hair loss is just freaky!  Hair falling out for such a long time.  I think it didn't stop until I was 7 or 8 months PP!

I've found about 1-2 of the same type of white hair that you described since I got pg. But since it has happened to me before (like I'll find 1-2 every year or two since high school, which I always pulled out), I didn't think it was specifically pg-related, but maybe this time it is?

i didn't notice this, just associated with age, not PG for me

this. my hair stopped falling out awhile back, but what's even worse is that it is now growing back . . . so i have crazy short hairs EVERYWHERE not attractive.

I haven't had any on my head (yet....), but since becoming pg, I have had several pure white hairs in my eyebrows, of all places!!!  MH keeps telling me that it's age, but it was kind of freaky that it started very shortly after conceiving.....

haha it's pretty funny when I try and pull my hair back in a ponytail. There is tons of little baby hairs everywhere...

I haven't noticed any (I also haven't noticed that my poor thin hair has gotten much thicker either - booooo!) but my mom has mentioned before that when she got pregnant with her first child, my sister, her hair changed completely. She got some gray hairs, and it went from being fine and wavy to very coarse and frizzy/curly...and it's been that way ever since!

I've noticed one or two white hairs in my eyebrows too...so odd!
