I had my mirena put in today, but I don't have to go back until my next period. What did ya'll go back in for so soon after having it done?

Might be TMI.
It might be a doctor preference thing. He said he likes a 1 week follow-up visit to make sure it's in right and all (uses ultrasound) and he wants his patients to have sex with their DH/SO to see if the strings can be felt, because if DH could feel the strings then he would shorten them some.
