sounds like a terrible movie. I read the synopsis (I had no intentions of watching it) thinking he probably gets killed in Iraq. I won't give it away if you want to watch, but the movie just sounds terrible.

I read the book. All I remember is that it was typical Nicholas Sparks. I assume I cried while I read it. And I assume he died at the end.
