crazy cw charged w/sexual harassment
Remember my crazy coworker, the one who began her presentation w/"I love cats," wanted IT to unblock match.com on her work computer, and was taking pictures of the backs of people's heads and emailing them to them?
Our admin asst went to HR and accused her of sexual harassment because ccw made admin feel her arm. As in, "I've been working out--feel my arm! Feel how firm that it is!"
I'm no fan of ccw, but I think this is stupid. Did she hold a gun to your head and make you grope her bicep, Admin? Because if not, you could have refused. She was pulling this isht in Palm Springs, and none of our sales reps took the bait. Nor did they accuse her of anything. Don't go crying to HR because you don't have the social skills to say, "I'll take your word for it."
Apparently she also turned in one of our CSRs for saying, "I hit my boob on my cubicle and now my boob hurts." How is that harassment? Poor judgment, perhaps, but that's it.
There's speculation that this is why HR manager was abruptly fired. If Admin came to him with this, he would have laughed her out of his office. Admin would have escalated things, and escalated HR mgr right out fo his job.
I am starting to feel like there are about four sane people in this office, and that's it.
Am I wrong for not thinking that either of these "charges" rise to the level of sexual harassment?

Yep. Same boss also asked another co-worker for free passes to a local strip club (co-worker's sis was an ex-stripper). He's also a swinger. We really should have gotten together and went to HR, but we got laid off and it would have looked like sour grapes.
