WWYD re: party
Well, my super bowl party is a bust. I have 11 definitive "no" responses, one "maybe" and one "yes but we'll be late" (from a very annoying person who I invited only to be nice).
Many (including - it must be said - HIO, who hasn't even looked at the invite) have not yet responded. Most of those I never expected to come, but I am holding out hope for 3-4 of them. (now that I re-check, several people haven't even viewed the invite - weird)
Think I should send out a cancellation? The only iffy thing about having it is that I risk no one else coming but annoying coirker.

I'd send out an email saying, "Just a reminder - let me know if you'll be able to join us. I want to have enough food!"
Hmmm. I usually hate to cancel a party that someone has already said "yes" to coming to, but if that was the only "yes".
My vote is cancel, and enjoy the day with your family. That means more hot wings for you.:)
I did! TY note sent out on Monday, I believe, so you should have gotten that by now, too. Weirdness.
LOVE that book! "Dexter Bexter" has already slipped into my everyday vocabulary, right along with "Dexter Stinkerpants," which is my usual nickname for him.
Also love the socks. I was telling my friend at her shower how fun they are but we never got any as gifts and I felt bad spending money on something frivolous like that. And I love the argyle print! DH is sortof anti-preppy, but I am all pro-preppy, so I win!

Good! I'm glad they're things you can have fun with. I wasn't looking for a ty, but wanted to make sure it went into the right hands. And I didn't check the mail yesterday, so there's that, too.
FYI, Trumpette sells socks in Target now. I think it's $8 for 3 pair or something, so it's not a full investment, but still a splurge.
