L, Bmom or anyone else with an opinion - So I've only seen a few of them back when my nephews were younger, but what is the controversy? Is the cucumber gay or something?
I just a friendly gal looking for options.
Re: Veggie Tales
Crap...I Mean Crafts
To the anti-VT people - - don't they realize that there were no talking vegatables in the bible?
I've watched a few and really like them. The ones I saw weren't overtly Christian. They were Old Testament stories, mainly. They promote good morals rather than Christianity. IMO.
We have a Christmas movie, and from it and the ones I've caught on TV, they're just cartoons with good messages: be a good friend, don't lie, don't steal, don't be cruel. They're very basic, which is perfect for kids, and they're not super-religious, which is probably what fundies object to.
I never knew there was a controversy, but I assume if they don't set my Papist-meter pinging, they're probably not Paulian enough for most hardcore fundies and "Christians".
Oh WHERE is my HAIRBRUSH?! Oh WHERE is my HAIRBRUSH?!
Oh WHERE, OH WHERE, OH WHERE...is my hairbrush?
You gave it to the (can't remember), because you have not HAIRRRRRR!
<---------A song from Veggie Tales
I agree with Bmom that they're just cartoons with dancing/singing/talking vegetables that spread good messages.
