New to board... Hockey? Surfing?
Just thought I'd see if there's anyone on here with similar interests.
I play ice hockey and have done so for over 20 years now - and other hockey players out there?
I've been surfing (or at least trying to) for the past 5 years or so. It's a little difficult living in Ontario in Canada. But we do annual trips to the Outer Banks and try to do other vacations that allow us to surf. After Costa Rica this past fall, the surfing bug really has got me - I can't wait to get back to the Outer Banks this summer.
Re: New to board... Hockey? Surfing?
I live near Toronto, but am SO not a Leafs fan. My teams are the Hurricanes and the Sabres. That would be awesome to have seasons tickets - I love seeing warmer areas loving hockey.
I play in a league here for women, we're just a couple steps down from the professional women's league in Canada.

My Randomness Blog!!
I am so excited for the Olympics....how can one not be excited for the opportunity to see curling (they only show down here during the Olympics)!! I will miss going to Predators games, but I'll keep myself entertained watching all the Olympic stuff.
Nice to see another player on here! Do you still play competetively? Not sure too much how it works in the US, but we occasionally come across the odd US team in some of our tournaments and even used to play Buffalo in our league, but they've since dropped out.
We're finishing off regular season in a couple weeks, then we have play-offs, as well as regional playdowns (to advance to Provincial Championships) and have another tournament or two left.
That's great that your husband plays too - mine does not (but did when he was a kid). I'm trying to convince him to get a pair of skates though so we can get out and play some pnd hockey on the weekends.
Another hockey fan here (not a player) -- Flyers fan.
I'm rooting for Team Canada and Team USA in men's hockey. I don't have to miss the Flyers, though, because our local sports channel, Comcast SportsNet is replaying Flyers games from earlier this year throughout the Olympic break.
