the first hair washing I did post-Burning Man was horrifying. I hadn't washed my hair in a week and kept it in a pony tail/bun thing. By the end of the week I was wrapping a scarf around my head too.
Anyway, I get to the hotel in Reno and get in the shower. I just let the water run through my hair getting all the dust out. Then I attempt to shampoo. Then condition. Even with copious amounts of conditioner combing out my hair was painful. By the time I was done and all the tangles were out, I thought I had combed a bald spot out of my head. It looked like I was holding a tribble in my hand.
The average person loses somewhere between 100 and 200 hairs a day. I had all that build up from the week.
I'm still traumatized. I also decided that this year, I'm getting my hair braided pre-Burning Man.
Re: s/o shower hair
It was, once I got the tangles out and the tribble was disposed of. My friend was staying in Reno for a few extra days and let us shower before heading to our flight. Which was brilliant because our trip home took 20 hours.
Because Kuus, I love it. I don't feel dirty or gross and there are 50K other people doing the same thing.
I'm going to start referring to it as "the incident of 2009".
did kuus not know about "the incident of 2009"?
but you went in 2009, so the trip that already took place is "the incident of 2009".
When my hair is curly, I can't brush it the entire week. I might rinse it to reshape the curls, but that's a huge might.
