I am working hard now (in all of my spare time) to get my independent consultancy really going. I am submitting 2 proposals this weekend, and it would *really* rock if I could get both.
Also, my old boss wants to renegotiate my rate before my 3/1 return to the ad agency. I'd still be an independent consultant, and maybe fewer hours means he can afford to keep me at my current rate. I do believe he's paying more to the person who's covering for me, so there's that. He did say he definitely wants me back and I am "the alpha player," so hopefully that gives me some negotiating power.
Anyway, there's nothing like WW vibes to make these things happen, you know? I will have to add a purple shirt to my shopping list, too.
