Have I mentioned that DH bought a quarter of a cow? Yeah. So I have a chest freezer full of various cuts of beef. At least we know where the cow came from and that it isn't full of growth hormone.
Problem is, I never really learned many ways to cook beef. I can do stir-fry (but don't know which cut to use for that) and ground meat things (meatballs, tacos). I believe I could do a crock pot roast (but again - is an "arm roast" OK for that, or do I need a "leg roast" or "rump roast?")
Any ideas? Places where I could get more info? Google isn't specific enough.
Re: Post 2 - cooking
Alton Brown has an awesome chuck roast recipe.

I substitute mushrooms for the olives because I hate olives. It's actually a great recipe for substituting, as long as you have the right ratio of liquids, aromatics, and "chunkies."
Otherwise, H cooks most of the meat around here, so I'm not much help.
