I am a prek teacher at a local childcare center. I must have some co-workers with sticky fingers because lately so many things have been stolen! I have had markers, glue, paper, tape (painters tape is the only thing we can use on our walls so it does not peel paint and it is like gold if you have any...I always buy my own instead of waiting for the center to supply it) but now my planning book I bought for ideas is missing! I try to take as much home as I can but sometimes I am carrying my school bag too for night class and my laptop so I am loaded down. I can't lock up my room because I leave at 4 and the center is open till 6 so I still have kids in my room. There are like 10 people who work after I leave that it could possibly be. I was hoping all of this stuff was just misplaced by me, but things keep walking off!
So mad right now!
Re: Stealing...so mad Vent
Yeah I have and she said she had an idea who it was and was going to go "get my stuff back"....but I have yet to see that happen.
Most people think I am overreacting because it's "little" things but I am not rich by any means and I pour a ton of money into those things so that we have supplies.
Why would someone steal your idea book? Markers I understand can happen (like pens) but an idea book?
I guess that'll make them easy to catch... see who's doing your ideas!
My Blog!
I would definitely report your planning book being stolen. Markers and glue are one thing, although I understand being mad about the things you purchased yourself being stolen, but stealing someone's ideas is not cool.
Maybe you should start asking around about it with your coworkers- don't come right out and blame anyone, just ask like you misplaced it, but be really upset about it being missing. Maybe the person who did it will feel guilty and your book will "mysteriously" make a reappearance.
