My mom cracked me up
Mom is coming out Monday so she can pick the girls up from school Tuesday while I'm in Hays at the Cancer Center. Redneck will be in Wichita at John Deere school all week.
I im'd her the other day and asked if she would mind taking some of the baby shower stuff home with her, so I wouldn't have to move around it or keep track of it while moving. She said sure, as long as it would fit in her car. Then this conversation happened:
Me: "I think it will all fit in your car. The only really big thing is the diaper cake, but it should fit in your backseat with no problem"
Mom: "Ok. Is the 'diaper cake' perishable? It seems a little early for you to be making food for that shower."
Me: "LOL, no, mom, it's made out of diapers."
Mom: "Ohhhhh. OK. Blonde, ya know"
What's really funny is she is NOT a natural blonde. She's got dark dark brown hair, but has dyed it blonde for over 40 years. I was sitting at work LMAO trying to imagine just what she thought a diaper cake was made out of.

Special is a kind way to describe my mother. I told the girls at work I may need to be bailed out of jail next week because she's staying with us for 2 days. I'm doing ok medically, just waiting to go to the Cancer center on Tuesday and hopefully get an answer. I am really hoping the oncologist says it's something like mono or chronic fatigue and we stay away from lymphoma. Still have no idea where we're moving to - the realtor I work with is trying to see if we can rent a house that's for sale - it's been empty for 18 months. Other than that, there's nothing available for rent here, so I don't know what we're going to do.
