AW: My Parents
I'm on hold on the phone and the board seems a bit slow so I'm going to be an AW and AW my parents.
My dad - Since CA legalized SS marriage my dad has been clipping every newspaper article he can find and mailing them to K. We get a package every other week with at least a dozen articles, from editorials to full feature articles. I think it's so cute that he scours the paper looking for stuff that might help with her research.
My mom - When she heard about the MA congress vote to allow out of state SS couples to marry she immediately called to ask "are you legal?". I had to explain that NY was a sort of no mans land and that even though legally we probably should not have gotten a license when we did it's all good and legal now. So then of course she asks "Do you have to get married in CA too?". I told her we are still researching, but that yes we would like to have a legal CA marriage. She's gone from being a bit hesitant prior to the wedding to now wanting us to have a second one! I think it's cute, and K says that if my parents are willing to host we'll definitely have a CA wedding when we go home in Oct! :-)
