Scanner Recommendations

I am wanting to buy a scanner for home so I can image some of our documents without having to store hard copies of everything.  I don't know where I should begin as far as looking into scanners, but here is what I know I want.

Scanner needs to be thin/small and the capability to image documents as PDFs. I would also like to be able to feed several pages at a time to image as one document, but I don't know if there are scanners like this for home office use.

Any help or recommendations with this is greatly appreciated. TIA!

Re: Scanner Recommendations

  • We recently got a Fujitsu ScanSnap S300M and I love it. It scans documents right to PDF but does not recognize text. It also scans multiple pages and double-sided. Since it is small it doesn't take up a lot of room. There are two different versions S300M for Mac and S300 for Windows.

  • There are so many to choose from, it depends on a few more criteria. I travel a lot on business and wanted a very small one. I use a DocuPen b/c it's the smallest. The resolution is good and it fits in my purse.
