Can I AW a little bit?
I never do this, but I'm very proud of myself and have no one to share it with! My husband's cousin and wife are due with their first baby in a couple of weeks. She goes crazy for my sugar cookies, and since we no longer live near them, I've felt bad that I can't provide the pregnant lady with lots of cookies. Since the baby is due very soon, I baked them some over the weekend to mail to them. I'm hoping they survive mailing okay!
It's been a while since I decorated cookies...I miss it!

Haha...okay, cookie fail.
I emailed the picture to DH's Grandma (she loves to see pictures of what I make). She informed me that the mama-to-be is currently on bed rest with a restricted diet due to high blood pressure! Whoops. I just sent sugar cookies to a pregnant lady who shouldn't eat sweets. Awesome.
Either way, she can freeze them and eat them after the baby is born.
MrsZ--I have taken a couple of cake decorating classes, but no cookie ones. I'd be happy to show you sometime--I love decorating sugar cookies! For my wedding we did sugar cookie wedding cakes and I made/iced/decorated 1000 cookies.

Awh I'm sure she'll love them anyway! Like you said they can freeze them.
I would love it if you could teach me! Maybe if anyone else is interested we could make it a gtg? My house isn't big but I have an open floorplan and several of us could gather round my kitchen island!

And I could definitely use some icing help. I tried some cupcakes a few days ago and they were a major fail!
