So the Tebow ad was surprising
certainly didn't seem to be what everyone was all worked up over. i wonder if CBS ended up cutting it back because of all the criticism.

I wondered the same thing.
Also, his mom was disturbingly bug-eyed, IMO, but I think I'm oddly sensitive to larger-than-average eyes, so I'm trying to let it go.
sure, it was sweet. i just kept thinking, was that it? there was no mention of abortion, or their actual "story" unless you wanted to follow the link to FOTF.
seemed like much ado about nothing.
I do still dislike the 'no advocacy ads'...'except when FOTF pays us booku bucks..." bit.
But I haven't been able to find amything online to give me a clear answer to whether what was shown was the original ad or not.
(ETA, I HEARD it was toned down from 'doctors wanted me to have an abortion' after the 'uhm....you were in the Phillipines...wehre abortion was ILLEGAL at the time" discussion. But I can't yet find verification from a nonbiased source on that)
