I have a call in with the Nurse... BUT

Does anyone know off hand what kinds of meds a pregnant person can take for a sore throat?

All last night and now today, i feel like my throat is on fire.  I told Carl about it this morning and he said he was feeling the same way, and his head is killing him.  I think we are getting sick (GRRRRRRR).  I know he can take whatever, and i plan to get him something, but i was hoping you might know of something I could take.  Then i can kill two birds with one stone.

TIA ladies...

Re: I have a call in with the Nurse... BUT

  • Tylenol is a definite ok med and that actually helps my throat sometimes when I have a sore throat...Also gargle with warm salt water....
  • Do you think its from post-nasal drip? If so regular sudafed (not the PE) is ok to take and would dry that up. Otherwise, tylenol for pain and maybe some tea would help?
  • I dont think it is a PND issue :-(.  I have an appointment tomorrow at the DR's for another U/S and check up, so if i am not feeling better, i'll def have them check it out too.  I have some Tylenol in the house so i'll try that.  Im hoping the nurse calls back soon.  I guess a cold isnot a high priority, ha-ha!  My MIL suggested gargeling with Salt water, but i dont know if i could stomache that.  I dont eat salt at all nevermind having it splashing around my mouth... Lol!
