Oh, God, the scarf!

I'm barfing at Under1000 today. They sell cheesecloth at Wal-Mart. It comes in a pack with like 4 yards of the stuff; it's by the foil and plastic wrap. (Or it was, last time I bought it.) I'm pretty sure it's under $2, and it will last forever.

Straining cheese through a commercially-dyed synthetic fabric that's been "cleaned" in that fcking WonderWash? Ick!Ick!Ick!

Re: Oh, God, the scarf!

  • wait.  she's straining cheese through a scarf???

  • Are you sure that's a scarf and not one of her "Fundie acceptable dresses?" I wasn't sure.

    Either way - it's nasty.

    But I do want to go to an Indian restaurant for some paneer sagwalla or one of the paneer desserts. Yum!

    Through something black with white polka dots, obviously synthetic. It's a scarf or a piece of a dress or scrap fabric or something - but it's not cheesecloth, and it shouldn't be touching food.

  • BM, you know that she is hyper design conscience and can't break from her black and white theme.  Can you buy b&w cheesecloth for under $2?!?!?

    I just a friendly gal looking for options.

  • No worries zsa - a clean cheesecloth will be black and white (with mold) in no time, thanks to her Wonderwash.

  • I have no words for that cheese.

    Why oh why can't she splurge and buy some from Wally World?

  • And now that I actually look at the post - what are the black specks on the cheese??  Lint???  Tongue Tied

  • I think that's the spices she added, Zsa, which is another rant altogether, but basically comes down to the fact that she can't cook. Or clean. Or like Star Trek properly.

    EmilyKate = Epic Fail.

  • The flecks in the cheese are the 5-year-old pre-blended spice mixes she put in them. I feel like I've seen her use that scarf for cooking before. Maybe Daniel's mysterious illness was poisoning from the dye.
