I had leftover Cuban food. Marinated chicken w/ sauteed onions and black beans w/ rice.
What I really want is some once-fried tostones and some flan. I've now had regular, coconut, cheese, and chocolate flan. I am a fan no matter what the flavor, apparently.
Re: WFL?
H is bringing me something since he locked me out of the house (I need to get my keys back from the house sitters).
And you are not a freak, I also have had cinnamon toast. It was one of my childhood staples. In fact, now I want some cinnamon toast.
left over sausage and seafood gumbo.
served with a side of satisfaction.
mmm, cinnamon toast.
Actually, I made some KICK ASS cinnamon quick bread this weekend.
leftover homemade pizza.
Yes we had cinnamon toast like that. Mom would make huge sheet pans of the stuff. I wonder how many loaves of bread we used to go through.
I never had that kind of cinnamon toast, and DH thought i was a freak for it. i thought Pepperidge Farm was amazing for their invention of the stuff.
DH has it often, and I do not. I would rather buy it pre-cinnamon-ed.
I am having a cup of campbells select harvest 99% fat free new england clam chowder, which is surprisingly hearty. HOWEVER, i am regretting it because of the amount of sodium (and the fact that the label considers this small thing TWO servings).
i had leftovers, but opted for this instead. i'll save leftovers for tomorrow - chicken cutlets, white rice, and steamed broccoli.
i also have a peice of my superbowl cake: chocolate cake with whipped vanilla frosting and vanilla custard filling with chocolate chips. it's the most delicious cake i have ever made to date.
I had some "hint of lime" tostitos left over from last night.
Also, re: cinnamon toast - we had that all the time (not broiled - just toast + butter, cinnamon, sugar). I still do it sometimes, but with splenda instead of sugar.
Anyway, my mom called it "french toast." I was an adult before I knew what real french toast was.
